4 Easy & Delicious Everyday Meal Ideas

We all want to make sure our families get nutritious and tasty fresh cooked dinners every day, but sometimes, especially during the week, we do not have too much time to prepare a complicated recipe.

Today, as per your number one request, I am sharing some of the quickest and easiest meals I made for my family over the past month that we all enjoyed and would have again. Let’s jump in!

Homemade chicken alfredo

Homemade chicken alfredo

This is definitely a go-to for us on a busy weeknight. It is so simple to put together, and absolutely delicious.

1. Season your chicken and set it to the side for a couple minutes, then grill it. I just give it a rub down on both sides with some olive oil and then season with some Italian seasoning, minced garlic, salt, pepper, and onion powder.

2. Cook up some pasta.

3. For homemade alfredo, melt a stick of butter, add in some minced garlic, and season with salt, pepper, garlic powder, onion powder, and Italian seasoning.

4. Stir it around until fragrant, then add some heavy cream and let it come to a light simmer.

5. Add some shredded cheese and optionally some spinach. Once you add your cheese in, it will start thickening up, so keep whisking it and make sure it does not stick to the bottom and the heat is not too high. If it gets too thick, add some more cream.

6. Serve the grilled chicken, pasta and the sauce with some garlic bread.

Pork tenderloins with sides

If you are not a fan of pork, this would work great with chicken as well.

1. Wash your sweet potatoes, rub them down with olive oil and sprinkle with salt, then bake in a 400 F oven until cooked through.

2. Season your pork and also bake in a 400 F oven until the internal temperature of 145 F.

3. Cook up some broccoli, drain the liquid and add in some heavy cream, as well as salt, pepper, garlic powder, onion powder, and paprika. Once the heavy cream has heated up, add in some cheese, and stir together.

4. For balsamic glaze, mix balsamic vinegar with some brown sugar and bring that to a boil. Reduce to a simmer and let it thicken up.

5. Once the pork is done, let it rest for a couple minutes and cut it. Pour the glaze over the pork, and serve with cheesy broccoli and sweet potatoes. Set out some butter and brown sugar as well.

Chicken fajitas

Such an easy and nutritious meal that everyone will enjoy. Other than having to marinate the chicken, this meal took no time to throw together for my family.

1. Cut up chicken thighs and season with smoked paprika, ground cumin, garlic powder, cayenne pepper, dried oregano, onion powder, salt and pepper. Give those a good rub down to get everything well coated, cover and put in the fridge for 30 minutes to marinate.

2. Cook down some green and red peppers and some onions. Season with salt and pepper if you feel like the flavor of the chicken is not going to be enough.

3. Push the veggies aside, add that chicken in, and start mixing everything together. Continue cooking until your chicken is cooked through and reaches an internal temperature of 165 F.

4. Serve in a tortilla, along with salsa rice, cauliflower rice and all of your fixings.

Pizza

Pizza

At my house, we have weekly pizza nights, and I always try to change things up a little bit so it does not feel too repetitive. Sometimes we make calzones or stromboli, but this one is a regular pizza. I am making one with cut up meatballs and one with chicken and spinach with a red sauce. These are the quantities for two pizzas.

1. Get 4 cups of flour, 2 tablespoons each of softened butter and sugar, 2 teaspoons each of yeast and salt, and 1 1/3 cup of water at 105-110 degrees into your bread machine and turn it on.

2. After a couple of minutes, check your dough and make sure that the ingredients are thoroughly combined. If the dough is too dry, add 1 teaspoon of water at a time. If the dough is too sticky, add 1 teaspoon of flour at a time. Let the dough rise.

3. After the dough cycle ends, dump the dough out onto a lightly floured surface and work it until you achieve your desired shape.

4. Add your sauce and the toppings.

5. Lightly grease your pizza pan and dust with cornmeal. Make up your pizza and bake at 400 F for 15-20 minutes. You are looking for bubbly cheese and lightly browned crust. If you like a crunchier crust, brush some olive oil on the crust before baking.
