1. King's Hawaiian cream cheese Danish

These little cream cheese Danishes made from King's Hawaiian rolls are everything you could hope for in a breakfast treat. They're sweet, creamy, and easy to make.

King's Hawaiian cream cheese Danish

Ingredients:

  • 1 pack (12-count) King's Hawaiian rolls
  • 1 stick salted butter, melted
  • 2 tablespoons brown sugar
  • 1 teaspoon cinnamon
  • 1 block (8 oz) cream cheese, room temperature
  • 3 tablespoons granulated sugar
  • 1 egg
  • 1 teaspoon pure vanilla extract
  • 1 cup powdered sugar
  • 2 tablespoons milk (I used evaporated milk)
  • Splash of vanilla extract


Instructions:

  1. Preheat your oven to 375°F.
  2. Grease a 9x13 casserole dish and place the King's Hawaiian rolls in the dish.
  3. Using a sharp knife, cut a small square out of the top of each roll, cutting about halfway down.
  4. Melt the butter and mix with brown sugar and cinnamon. Brush this mixture heavily over and into the rolls.
  5. In a separate bowl, beat the cream cheese, granulated sugar, egg, and vanilla extract until smooth.
  6. Fill the holes in the rolls with the cream cheese mixture.
  7. Bake for 15 minutes. Let cool for 20 minutes.
  8. Mix powdered sugar, milk, and a splash of vanilla to make the icing. Drizzle over the cooled Danishes.

2. Sausage cheddar muffins

These sausage and cheese muffins are hearty and packed with flavor, perfect for a family breakfast or meal prepping for the week.

Ingredients:

  • 1 pound breakfast sausage
  • 6 tablespoons unsalted butter, melted
  • 2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 tablespoon baking powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 2 cups shredded sharp cheddar cheese
  • 1 egg
  • 1 cup milk (2% or whatever you have on hand)
  • 1 tablespoon pure maple syrup


Instructions:

  1. Preheat your oven to 400°F.
  2. Brown the sausage and drain on paper towels.
  3. In a bowl, mix flour, baking powder, and salt.
  4. Add the cooked sausage to the flour mixture, then mix in the shredded cheese.
  5. In another bowl, whisk the egg, milk, and maple syrup together.
  6. Combine the wet ingredients with the dry ingredients, then add the melted butter.
  7. Grease a muffin tin and fill each cup to the top with the batter.
  8. Bake for 20 minutes. Let cool in the tin for 5 minutes before removing.


3. Instant Pot egg bites

These Starbucks-inspired egg bites are a great way to start your day with a protein-packed, flavorful breakfast. They're easy to customize with your favorite ingredients.

Instant Pot egg bites

Ingredients:

  • 4 large eggs
  • 1/3 cup cottage cheese
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • 1/4 cup Monterey Jack cheese (or substitute with Swiss cheese)
  • Chopped fresh spinach
  • Chopped roasted red peppers


Instructions:

  1. Crack the eggs into a blender and add cottage cheese, salt, pepper, and Monterey Jack cheese. Blend until smooth.
  2. Pour the egg mixture into a silicone egg mold, leaving room for expansion.
  3. Evenly distribute the spinach and roasted red peppers into each mold.
  4. Cover the mold tightly with foil.
  5. Place the wire rack and 1 1/2 cups of water in the Instant Pot.
  6. Set the mold on the rack, seal the Instant Pot, and pressure cook for 9 minutes.
  7. Let it naturally release for 10 minutes, then quickly release the remaining pressure.
  8. Let the egg bites sit for 5 minutes before removing from the mold.

4. Maple bacon cheddar biscuits

These biscuits are not your ordinary breakfast treat. Packed with bacon, cheddar, and a hint of maple, they're perfect for breakfast or as a side with dinner.

Ingredients:

  • 8 strips of bacon, chopped
  • 4 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 cup shredded sharp cheddar cheese
  • 4 teaspoons baking powder
  • 1 teaspoon kosher salt
  • 1 teaspoon baking soda
  • 1 1/2 cups buttermilk (or homemade with milk and vinegar)
  • 1 1/2 sticks frozen butter, grated
  • 4 tablespoons maple syrup


Instructions:

  1. Preheat your oven to 450°F.
  2. Cook the bacon until crispy, then drain on paper towels.
  3. In a large bowl, mix flour, cheddar cheese, baking powder, salt, and baking soda.
  4. Grate the frozen butter into the flour mixture and combine.
  5. Mix the buttermilk and maple syrup together, then add to the dry ingredients.
  6. Form the dough into a ball and roll out on a floured surface.
  7. Cut out biscuits and place on a parchment-lined baking sheet.
  8. Freeze for 15 minutes, then bake for 15 minutes.
  9. Make maple butter by mixing 1 tablespoon melted butter with 2 tablespoons maple syrup. Brush over the hot biscuits.
